Interlibrary loan allows you to request materials from other libraries that Nimitz Library does not already own. The Library attempts to obtain requested items from other libraries or from document delivery services as expeditiously as possible.
Requests can be made by visiting the ILL homepage. Please note that you must create an account with ILL before placing your first request. The submission of ILL requests is limited to current USNA midshipmen, faculty, and staff.
Delivery times can vary, from next-day response for some items in electronic format to waiting periods of 2-3 weeks or longer for certain books. On average, most materials take at least five (5) business days to arrive. For more information see ILL Policies.
Requests that do not conform to Nimitz Library policies and guidelines will not be processed. If you have any questions you may call the Reference Desk (410-293-2420), contact Interlibrary Loan (410-293-6953 or 410-293-6952) or send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
