  • USNA students, faculty and staff can access electronic books, journals, videos, etc. from anywhere on the Yard.

  • USNA students, faculty and staff, when off the Yard, have access to the VPN through the Cisco AnyConnect client when using a USNA-issued device.  VPN access simulates "being on the yard" for your computer, and is necessary because the majority of the Nimitz Library databases and e-books are licensed only for use on the Yard.

  • Faculty and staff desiring remote access from non-USNA-issued devices must follow these instructions, and contact USNA's ITSC for any technical assistance.

  • Visitors, alumni and retired faculty may visit the library to access library resources electronically using one of the available public computers, subject to library policies.

  • Connectivity issues can only be handled by ITSC, who can be reached by email at syshelp@usna.edu or by phone at 410-293-3500.

  • Note that individuals with a DOD affiliation (including USNCC) may be able to access some similar online resources through the DOD MWR Libraries.
